"We wanted to capture how our high performance packaged automotive products impact the life of consumers. It was important to capture the spirit of our brand and the spirit of our people manufacturing our products. Key to this was creating new images that showed the transition from raw materials into finished products and then the products being sold in high volume consumer retail environment. We needed quality photographs that could be used in a variety of communication materials including our website, brochures, exhibition stands, advertisements and direct marketing pieces. The Brief
To enable the client to show their customers the processes involved in manufacturing brake pads. It was important to show the process as brakes were actually being made and to make a very 'dirty and hot' process look visually interesting.
The Process
Our photographers attended Bendix' manufacturing plant in Ballarat and worked over two days in the factory and QA plants, documenting the design, quality control and manufacturing process. Often times the environments were very hot, noisy and filled with working robots, conveyors and staff, so it was important to work in an unobtrusive way as stopping production for the photography was definitely not an option. Our team excelled in this environment.

The End Result
